Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder in Provider Practice.
Key Responsibilities
Support providers in understanding covered indications and
documentation
Review medical documentation and assign appropriate diagnostic and
procedure codes
Monitor and validate physician charge capture and assist with
denial review and appeals management
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification
in Coding required
Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding schemes preferred
Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P, CCS-H, or
COC required
If not certified at hire, certification must be obtained within one
year
