The position prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.Key Responsibilities* Conducts depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documents* Prepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses* Keep claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, pre-trial, etc.)* Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questions* Review new file assignments, all documentary evidence, and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategy* Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate* Draft post-trial motions* Try and/or arbitrate cases by preparing motions, motions in limine and summary documents in limine* Conducts settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.)* Prepares and conducts court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.)***Ability to work within a remote work office environment within the Macon, GA area; and travel within the Macon, GA area (as needed)Education and License: * 4 year Bachelors Degree (Required)* Juris Doctor (Required) and member in good standing of the Georgia State BarExperience* 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)Supervisory Responsibilities* This job does not have supervisory duties.#LI-PC1SkillsCustomer Centricity, Digital Literacy, Documentation Review, Evidence Gathering, Inclusive Leadership, Learning Agility, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Litigation, Results-OrientedCompensationCompensation offered for this role is $85,600.00 - 152,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn't just a job - it's an opportunity.
