Job Description:

The Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Business Manager, working out of their Atlanta GA based law firm. You must be able to start work by January 2025.

MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S. WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP

4+ years of U.S. military experience is required; an Associates or Bachelors Degree with major course work in Business Administration/Accounting is required.

Strong Leadership skills are a must-have. Knowledge of legal or other professional service organizations, and experience managing business operations, will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!

Compensation: $75,000-85,000 (+ pay for office building parking)

What You Will Do:

• Manage business/finance functions of approximately 10-12 lawyers and 4 paralegals.
• Report to partners, and participate in management meetings.
• Identify and plan for the changing financial needs of the organization and the clients, share responsibility with the appropriate partners for strategic planning, practice management and marketing, and contribute to cost-effective management throughout the organization.
• Prepare and run various monthly financial and process-oriented reports; meet with Management team to review, analyze and address firm financial health.
• Receive all vendor bills, correctly follow Client Defense Guidelines as to pre-authorization, limits, and payment instructions, upload to platforms/fax/email to client monthly.
• Process timely payments to Vendors, either added to Client bill or uploaded to platforms/fax/email to client. Education and Work Experience:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university (major course work in Business Administration/Accounting) required.
  • Strong Leadership and supervisory skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of legal or other professional service organizations, and experience managing business operations ( finances, accounting, banking and client expectations.)
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and management reports preferred.
