Job Summary
Within the department of Tech Dining, the Assistant Manager is
responsible for managing individually assigned day-to-day
operations of a specific dining concept(s). Responsibilities
include directing a staff of food service workers to ensure
day-to-day objectives are consistently met and standards are
maintained to ensure the best campus dining program possible.
Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee
performance, and providing feedback, and making pay
recommendations.
This position will interact on a regular basis with all levels of
faculty, staff, students, and vendors associated with Tech
Dining.
This position will primarily advise and counsel other staff members
and vendors.
Will supervise several hourly employees (will vary by
position).
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Plans and manages specific aspects of day-to-day operations within
a dining venue(s), and plays a role in hiring, training, and
managing food service workers within identified dining
concepts.
Job Duty 2 -
Ensures proper fiscal controls are met within identified dining
concepts.
Job Duty 3 -
Works closely with the culinary team to ensure menus and food
standards are implemented accordingly.
Job Duty 4 -
Ensures labeling requirements are met and compliance with allergen
containment procedures; ensures adherence to national brand
standards.
Job Duty 5 -
Guarantees compliance with sanitation and safety requirements that
ensures a safe and sanitary work environment.
Job Duty 6 -
Manages and ensures proper implementation of departmental policies
and procedures.
Job Duty 7 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma.
Required Experience
Two or more years of job related experience in food service,
preferably within higher education. A minimum of two years of
experience as a manager with direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Proposed Salary
Recruiting Range: 44,097.00 - 75,846,00 (Based on Experience)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Ability to work a very flexible schedule.
KNOWLEDGE
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
products.
SKILLS
Must have a valid Driver's License. Must have current ServSafe
Certification or other Georgia approved food safety
certification.
