Job Description - Process Engineer

Company Overview

Flexible Metal Inc. is a component supplier located in Tucker, GA. FMI specializes in product design, engineering, development and manufacturing of metal bellows, tubular assemblies, exhaust manifolds, and integrated exhaust systems.

Summary

Process Engineer will develop and implement new production processes and improvements to existing processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement manufacturing processes that meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate initial off-tool builds and manufacturing launch efforts to support customer needs.
• Design and specify tooling and gages. Coordinate manufacture and/or purchase of tooling and gages.
• Specify new equipment and coordinate new equipment installation and run off.
• Document machine and process instructions and train operators.
• Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for non-conforming product.
• Increase profitability through implementation of new technology and continuous improvement of existing products and processes. Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree or 10 years applicable experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Creo or Solidworks
  • Proficient in the English language both written and verbal. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret documents, drawings, and specifications.
